I successfully completed the Registered Practical Nursing (RPN) from Loyalist College. After graduation I worked in emergency medicine for 6 years, this allowed me to gain a plethora of knowledge in many areas of medicine, additionally, this time also allowed me to become a very responsive, timely & decisive nurse. After 6 years I transitioned into Dermatology working for Dr.
Pickett. I’ve also been very interested in my own skin & it allowed me to explore and develop a new skill set as a dermatology nurse.
In my spare time you will find me traveling (well not at the moment with Covid-19), working out, enjoying a glass of wine & spending time with my family and my beloved German Shepherd, John Henry.
I became a registered aesthetician in Nova Scotia 30 years ago. I worked in a salon for two years, as I thought it was important to gain more knowledge, before opening my own business 28 years ago.
Always looking to develop my skills, I took a medical aesthetician course. Then had the pleasure of joining Dr. Pickett‘s office. Offering different laser treatments and chemical peels.
My prior career was in the military Air Force for 14 years. That experience has given me many other skills for all situations in life.
I have one adult son on his own. Exercise is a big part of my life, and spending time with my two rescue cats Minnie and Rocco.
Be good to your skin, you’ll wear it everyday for the rest of your life.
